Speaking to Canal Plus television channel, he added: "It is always before tournaments that bitter people wake up.
"What has he (Milla) done? He hasn't won the World Cup. They played in a quarter-final (in 1990) and with what a team. They had one of the best teams with some great players throughout. It's not because they knew glory at the age of 40 that they can talk.
"And then you wonder, 'are they my people?'. Are they really my people? Is it really worth going to the World Cup?"

City is also thought to be in discussion with Wolfsburg striker Dzeko.

Zimbabwe to pay Brazil 1.3Million Pounds Appearance fee.

Zimbabwe are to pay the Brazilian's 1.3Million in appearance fee.

This is a country whose unemployment rate is 95% according to the CIA world factbook and also has a 68% population leaving below the poverty line.

To me this is just stupidity, there is really no way the friendly match is going to bring foreign investors or revenues to the country, so I see no reason why it should be done.

Essien ruled out of the World Cup.

According to the Ghanaian FA, Micheal Essien would not be taking part in Ghana's World cup campaign.

Liverpool duo on their way to Chelsea.

Liverpool midfielder Yossi Benayoun claims his on the verge of joining League Champions Chelsea and could also be joined by fellow team mate Javier Mascherano.

Real show Pellegrini the door.

Its one news that doesn't come as a surprise to anyone. Real Madrid have finally sacked coach Manuel Pellegrini.

Its should be said to be the worst kept secret in football, Real Madrid finally clear the way for Jose Murinho to take over as Real Madrid's next manager.

The "Special one" has just one job to do and that is to bring Real back to their glory days. He did it with Chelsea and also with Inter, now can he do same at Real?

Zigic moves to Birmingham.

Birmingham just signed Serbian striker Nikola Zigic on a four year lond deal for an undisclosed fee.

Yakubu is to replace Carlton Cole after a 15Million Pound price tag has been placed on him.

Mourinho has been a long time fan of Essien and even tried to take him with him when he first got to Inter, but now things are different.
With a prestigious club like Real Madrid and enough cash to spend, I don't think Essien, Ashley or even Chelsea would be able to say no.

Van dar Vaart to replace Scholes?

There have been reports that Manchester United are lining up a 20Million Pound bid for Real Madrid's Rafael Van Dar Vaart.

Sources claim that he could be the replacement for veteran midfielder Paul Scholes. This reports come in as Ferguson has question marks over the players age and injury scares.

Van Dar Vaart in my opinion would be a magnificent acquisition to the Manchester United team.

The Special one does it again.

The self proclaimed "Special One" has done it again, he has become a Legend in what we can call a short coaching career. He has proven that winning the Champions league with Porto wasn't a fluke.
We might not like his style of coaching or his personality, but the truth remains that he has emerged to be arguably the best coach in the world today.
Although attentions now shift to his future, speculations now link him to be the next manager of Real Madrid.

Manager of the year

Harry Redknapp of Tottenham was just crowned Manager of the year, most people say he deserves it, but definetly not me. He qualified Tottenham for the UEFA champions league and thats a wonderful achievment, but lets not forget the fact that he's in club with a lot of money to spend on transfer compared to Roy Hodgson who had little to spend on transfers but yet took Fulham into the Europa league finals.

It wasn't an easy ride for them, they had to overcome AS Roma, Italian giants Juventus, UEFA cup winners Shakhtar Donetsk and host team HSV.

I really wonder what the critarias are for choosing the manager of the year.

World Cup theme song

Listened to the official World Cup theme song and all I have to say is it was rubbish, first of all it was the choice to pick Shakira a non African to sing the Theme song, secondly the beat, the lyrics, in short the whole song just has a drab about it.

I just hope its not the begging of the end for what is looking like would be a disastrous World Cup in Africa.

Tittle chase

Watched the Arsenal, Blackburn match and it was a joy to watch. The fact that Arsenal won't only end the season without a trophy, but they might actually end up in 4th position.
Yet we're still going to have the tittle decided on the final day, where Chelsea face a Wigan side which beat them 3-1 in their last encounter. Its going to be a fight to the last.....

Tittle chase

Was a very painful sight when I saw Chelsea win at Anfield earlier today, I had hope that they would either draw or loose. Now Man Utd's chances of winning become slimmer and slimmer by the minute. I still have hope though that by some miracle the tittle would still end at the cabinets of Manchester United.
