Forlan to make Premier League return

Reports show that Tottenham manager Harry Redknap is preparing a bid for the highly rated Uraguayan Striker.

Forlan a had a spell at Manchester United and couldn't find his scoring form, has since been unable to stop scoring since his exit from Manchester United.

Reports from the mirror football say Forlan's current club Atletico Madrid would welcome a bid of £12million, but Tottenham are only willing to offer £8.5million.

Pienaar to become highest paid Everton player

Everton manager David Moyes went to South Africa with an for for highly rated South African playmaker Steven Pienaar.

Pienaar who had a wonderful season at Goddison park last season, has been highly sort after by other teams including Manchester City.

In an attempt to keep one of his star players, David Moyes is set to offer Pienaar a £55,000 weekly wage making him the highest payed player in Everton.

Maicon to leave Milan

Manchester City target Maicon, has made his intensions known that he would be leaving Italy during this transfer window.
Maicon has been linked with City, but would prefer a move to Real Madrid to be reunited with former manager Jose Mourinho.


According to the Spanish newspaper El Mundo Deportivo, the Brazilian full-back notified the owner of his current home that he was not renewing his lease at the property because he was “going to leave Milan.”





Marseille to sign Anderson

Marseille are said to be on the hunt to sign out of favour Manchester United midfielder Anderson.

Anderson has been out with an injury since Feburary and is not likely to be fit until September.
Anderson also had a fall out with Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson.
Reports all show intrests from french club Lyon.

Grant eyes Enyeama

Nigeria stopper has be excellent in the on going FIFA world cup and has caught the eye's of West Ham manager Avram Grant.
Grant is ready to make a 4million bid for the Hapoel Tel-Aviv goalkeeper.

A Hammers insider said: "Enyeama was absolutely superb against Argentina and he'd be a brilliant buy.
"So Avram Grant is using his Israeli connections to clinch a deal as soon as the World Cup ends."

Guti keen on move to Blackburn

Blackburn Manager Sam Allardyce has revealed that Real Madrid's Guti is keen on a move to Ewood park.

Blackburn defender and former Real Madrid star Michel Salgado is said to have persuaded former team mate Guti in joining Blackburn.


Allardyce said: "Guti would be a player we'd like. It has been fronted by Michel and it's outstanding a player like that would like to come.
"But a player in his position is not the priority. I need a front man and I'm not sure Guti could wait for us to do that first."

Guti will be the highest paid player in Blackburn if the deal goes through.



Blues to make Keane bid

After missing out on Palermo striker Fabrizio Miccoli, Birmingham have now turned their attention to Northern Ireland striker Robbie Keane.

Keane had a brilliant loan spell at Celtic and Birmingham would be looking for him to repeat that same form for them if they are to challenge for a European spot next season.

The question now is could Keane be tempted by a move to St Andrews?

Mourinho to bid for Glen Johnson

Real Madrid manager Jose Mourinho is said to be ready to make a 15million pound bid for Liverpool's right back, Glen Johnson.

Mourinho is keen on bringing in Inter's Maicon but the European Champions are desperate to keep the Brazilian right back.
Mourinho had a fallout with new Inter boss Rafael Benitez during his time as manager at Chelsea and this would make the bid for Maicon a difficult one.

Mourinho actually sold Glen Johnson to Portsmouth during his time as manager in Chelsea, and now the English starlet would be Mourinho's target if his bid for Maicon is unsucessful.

Eriksson wants Anfield job

Eriksson has joined the race for the vacant managerial role at Liverpool.
Rafael Benitez recently left the club on a mutual consent.


Eriksson recently admitted his interest in joining Liverpool saying he has been a long time fan of the club.


"I have been a Liverpool fan all of my life. I never mentioned it when I was in charge of England because I didn't think it was fair. I was shocked when I discovered Rafa Benitez had left. Would I want to be the manager of Liverpool? It is every manager's dream to manage Liverpool.'

Yaya Toure desperate to join City

Barcelona's midfielder Yaya Toure has expressed his desire to join City after Barcelona publicly stated he could go.

His agent is believed to have meet with City's representatives, this news coming after Manchester United and Arsenal have declared their interest in Toure.

City and Madrid battle it out for Silva

Manchester City fear that Real Madrid could beat them in the race to sign Valencia star David Silva.
City executives are hoping to hold talks with Valencia after postponing their plans to meet with the club chairman last week.

But senior figures at City have been made aware that Silva's destination of choice, should he leave Valencia, is Real Madrid.


While City remain keen to speak to the player's representatives, it is likely that the club will now focus their efforts on securing a post-World Cup deal for Aston Villa midfielder James Milner before reviewing their prospects of signing Silva.

Ancelotti in talks with Zlatan

Chelsea manager Carlo Ancelotti has been in talk with Barcelona foward Zlatan Ibrahimovic in Miami.

Ibrahimovic and Ancelotti are said to be staying in the same hotel in Miami.
On paper, Ibrahimovic has enjoyed a good first season in Spain, scoring 20 goals in 41 appearances for Barcelona since his high profile move from Inter Milan last summer. However, his performances have been criticized by the notoriously harsh Spanish media.


Ibrahimovic has also been linked with a move to of Man City 

United linked with Lyon's Bastos

Manchester United are rumored to be interested in making a bid for Brazilian International Michel Bastos.
Sir Alex Ferguson is said to be monitoring the Lyon midfielder as he is looking to add more creativity to his midfield.

Bastos has scored a total of 31 goals in 2 seasons and with Gabriel Obertan not showing enough potential, Bastos would make a great addition to the United team.

Benitez axed by Liverpool

Benitez would be given a multi million Pound severance package to quit Anfield.

Benitez took charge of Liverpool in 2004 and has won only 2 major trophies since then.
He won the UEFA Champions league in 2005 and the FA cup in 2006.

Liverpool are now in £351million debt and are placed up for sale by the owners.
Key players like Captain Steven Gerrard, Fernando Torres and Javier Mascherano are already linked to be on their way out.

Boateng to move to city

Jerome Boateng has confirmed that he will sign for Manchester City before going to South Africa for the World cup.

City is said to have acquired his signature after manager Roberto Mancini is said to have visited the player in Hamburg. The deal is said to be worth £10.46million.

Boateng was delighted that the deal went through and acknowledges that Mancini played a big role in his decision to sign for City.

Shock move for Cannavaro

2006 World cup winner Fabio Cannavaro is reported to have spurned off offers from SeriaA after parting ways with Juventus to sign for a Middle eastern club.


"We announce that we have signed 2006 FIFA World Cup winner Fabio Cannavaro  for two years," said Abdullah Al Nabooda, chairman of Al Ahli's board of directors, on the club's the official website.


Cannavaro is set to retire from International football after this years World cup.

Another United, Madrid saga

Jose Murinho was recently unvailed as Real Madrid's new manager and the self acclaimed special one has already started staring up controversy.

Its said that Murinho is looking to bring in a new set of Galacticos this summer. The Madrid board is set to back their new boss with a massive cash injection and Murinho has made Wayne Rooney his number one target.

Sir Alex Ferguson is reportedly prepared for a recording breaking bid from Madrid.

Yoann Gourcuff prefers Arsenal

Bordeaux's Yoann Gourcuff would prefer a move to Arsenal despite Lyon offering to pay his minimum release clause of million.

Reports suggest that he Arsene Wenger is lining him up for a possible replacement for Arsenal's skipper Cesc Fabregas.

Sources close to Gourcuff claim he isn't looking for a move within France but will fancy a move to a top European club competing in the UEFA Champions league.
